The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining robust cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world.

According to an October 3 press release, the DIR emphasized that cyber threats are continually evolving, posing challenges beyond traditional information technology (IT) concerns. "Every individual, business, and government entity is at risk," the statement said.

Cyberattacks target vulnerabilities across various levels, prompting the DIR to focus on providing resources, guidance, and services aimed at helping Texans safeguard their digital activities. The state agency highlighted that knowledge serves as one of the most effective defenses against cyber threats.

To support this initiative, the DIR offers a Cybersecurity Awareness Kit, along with cybersecurity training programs and incident response services designed to enhance security for Texans using computers, tablets, or phones.
