The Texas Senate has passed SB 2, a bill aimed at providing Texas parents with universal Education Savings Accounts. The bill will now proceed to the Texas House for further consideration.

Greg Sindelar, CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF), expressed gratitude for the swift passage of the bill. "TPPF is incredibly grateful to Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Senator Brandon Creighton for the quick passage of SB 2," Sindelar stated. He emphasized that the legislation is essential for giving parents in Texas more educational choices for their children. "This legislation is vital to ensuring that Texas parents have the opportunity to choose the educational setting that works best for their children and will help move Texas towards becoming the best state to start and raise a family," he added.

Sindelar also mentioned looking forward to collaborating with Speaker Burrows and the Texas House as they continue to advance this important piece of legislation.
