The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has taken action for violations of state environmental regulations, resulting in fines totaling $337,238. Agreed orders were issued for various categories of violations, as well as default orders, emphasizing the importance of compliance with environmental standards.

According to TCEQ, "Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: six municipal wastewater discharges, one petroleum storage tank, three public water systems, and two water quality." 

The enforcement actions, according to TCEQ, were in response to "one municipal solid waste, one petroleum storage tank, and one public water system." 

Moreover, the executive director of TCEQ approved penalties amounting to $44,135 against 13 entities on April 16, 2024.
