Texas Department of Public Safety names El Paso man as December's Featured Fugitive

Public Safety

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced its Featured Fugitive for December. The DPS is offering a substantial reward of $6,000 for information leading to the arrest of this individual.

According to Odessa American news, the fugitive in question is Kenneth Wayne Dove, who has been wanted for arrest since November 2022. Dove has been implicated in various crimes, including two separate instances of indecency with children dating back to 2016. After evading his initial arrest, he was subsequently charged in January 2023. Dove is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds.

KTSM news reports that there are several ways to provide tips on this case and potentially qualify for the reward. These include calling Crime Stoppers, submitting tips through the DPS website, or providing information via Facebook. Importantly, those providing tips will remain anonymous throughout all transactions; they are identified by tip numbers rather than names.

KXAN news advises citizens not to attempt any interaction with these fugitives as they are considered armed and dangerous. Texas Crime Stoppers, a division of the Governor's Criminal Justice Division, offers monetary rewards for information relating to Texas' ten most wanted fugitives. In 2023 alone, the DPS succeeded in arresting 43 individuals from this list, including 12 gang members and 21 sex offenders.
