The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced that Raymond Trejo is the Featured Fugitive for December. The reward for information leading to his arrest has been increased to $3,000 if a tip is received this month.

Raymond Lee Trejo, 35, from Abilene, has been wanted since May 2024 by Taylor County authorities for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. In 2009, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a child after an incident involving a 14-year-old girl and was sentenced to ten years in prison.

Trejo is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has tattoos on his face, neck, chest, and both arms and bears scars on his head and right knee.

The Governor’s Public Safety Office funds Texas Crime Stoppers, which offers cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of individuals on the state's most wanted lists. In 2024 alone, DPS and other agencies have apprehended 44 fugitives from these lists, including sex offenders and gang members.

To qualify for the cash rewards offered by Texas Crime Stoppers, tips must be submitted through one of three specified methods. All tips remain anonymous with tipsters receiving a unique number instead of using their names.
