Texas environmental agency fines over $1 million for regulation violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties amounting to $966,504 against 30 entities for breaches of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions included agreed orders in various categories: three related to air quality, one concerning industrial wastewater discharge, two multi-media cases, one municipal solid waste case, three municipal wastewater discharges, one petroleum storage tank case, three public water systems issues, and two water quality cases.

Additionally, default orders were issued in other categories: one municipal solid waste case, 12 petroleum storage tank cases, and one public water system issue.

Furthermore, on November 19th, the executive director approved penalties totaling $63,290 against 27 entities.
