The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved fines amounting to $249,607 against 15 entities for breaching state environmental regulations. The penalties were issued through agreed orders in several categories: air quality, industrial wastewater discharges, multi-media, municipal wastewater discharges, public water systems, and water quality.
Additionally, default orders were given in the areas of air quality, multi-media, and municipal solid waste.
On October 29th, the executive director authorized further penalties totaling $43,709 against 16 entities.
