Texas Association of Counties wins seven NACIO communication awards

The Texas Association of Counties (TAC) received seven communication awards from the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO) over the weekend, acknowledging the extensive work produced by the Association in 2023.

The awards were presented during NACIO's ceremony at the National Association of Counties annual conference in Tampa. The TAC communications department secured top prizes in three categories: design, newsletter, and podcast.

Miranda Baker earned recognition for her design work on infographics that emphasize the importance of multifactor authentication, aiding counties in countering cybersecurity threats. Erica Macioge was honored for producing the TAC On Point newsletter, which keeps internal employees and board members informed about the Association's services.

Julie Chang and Jody Seaborn received accolades for a podcast episode of Texas County Voice featuring Randall County Commissioner Eric Barry’s transition from opera singer to public official.
