Community Association of Woodlands issued the following announcement on Nov. 25

As part of the no-cost COVID-19 testing offered by Curative, Inc., at The Woodlands Township, customers are now asked to submit their insurance information when scheduling a test. Testing is still offered at no cost to the patient. Customers without insurance will still be tested at no personal cost using coverage from the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act.

When booking an appointment, insured customers will upload their insurance card to the appointment scheduler at www.curative.com. Uninsured customers will upload their government-issued ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID card or passport.) Those without a government-issued ID will simply provide their name and date of birth. The patient taking the test will answer a few questions regarding symptoms and possible exposure within the past 14 days. To learn more about the testing, please read the Frequently Asked Questions.

Testing takes place seven days a week at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. in The Woodlands, TX 77381, with daily hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally, Curative will be adding a second testing site in The Woodlands hosted by the Township, at Sterling Ridge Park and Ride, 8001 McBeth Way. The site will be open beginning on December 14, 2020, through January 31, 2021. It will be a “self-serve” drive-thru operation with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

As the holidays approach, please note the following changes to the COVID-19 testing schedule:

  • Thanksgiving Eve: Wednesday, November 25, 2020 – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 26, 2020 - Closed
  • Christmas Eve: Thursday, December 24, 2020 - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Friday, December 25, 2020 – Closed
The test is a painless oral-fluid swab, an alternative method to nasopharyngeal or brain swabs in testing for COVID-19. The entire Curative test is performed without having to come into close contact with others. Curative representatives wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and The Woodlands Township asks that participants wear a mask while at the testing location.

Test results are provided within 24-48 hours of when received by the lab, via text or email depending on the user’s choice. The sample collection process can be viewed here. For assistance with lab results, please email support@curative.com.
