Texas human trafficking movie to be released next month

A new movie set to be released on July 14 focuses on sex trafficking in East Texas, CBS 19 reported.

Micah Lyons, the founder of Breath of Life Productions, told the news agency the point of the film is to bring awareness to human trafficking nationwide.

"We are shining a big giant spotlight on this issue," Lyons said, the news agency reported. "In fact, we are actually giving away 20% of the net profit of the film to nonprofits who are on the front line of human trafficking."

Lyons told the news agency there are more than 300 East Texans cast in the movie as either actors or extras.

"When people see this movie, I want them to talk," Lyons told the news agency. "I want kids to talk to the parents. I want parents to talk to their kids. I want people to be incredibly entertained and not realize they are being fed a message of horrors of what's going on."
