An organization in New Bell County is one of the latest to fight sex trafficking in the Lone Star State.

According to KCENTV, Janiece Charlez launched A Rose Program to help her fellow mothers save their children from sex trafficking as it becomes a bigger issue after her daughter, Natalie, a victim of the crime, was killed, KCENTV reported.

79,000 minors are victims of sex trafficking at any given moment, according to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

“She turned 21 a week before she was murdered. We have a serious problem here in Bell County,” Charlez said.

Charlez said her daughter was exploited during her time as a student at Temple High School. Natalie was impregnated twice during her time in the sex trafficking industry. Charlez said she often found herself searching for her daughter on Backpage ads.

While her death is still a mystery, Charlez launched A Rose Program with Janet Brown to help other mothers.

"If it helps one girl if it helps one person, then it's worth it and all of my tears, and that's honoring Natalie," Charlez said in the report.

"We understand what breaks God's heart because we see it in real life. Women are not to be bought,” Brown said.
