U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported Oscar Alexander Cruz Rodriguez, a 29-year-old fugitive wanted in El Salvador for the rape of a minor. The removal took place on February 14.
Peter Berg, the Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in St. Paul, commented on the situation: “Criminal foreign fugitives who prey on minors are not welcome in Minnesota. ICE is working closely with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners to help apprehend and remove dangerous criminal aliens like Rodriguez from our communities.”
Rodriguez entered the United States illegally at an unspecified date and location. His deportation was supported by the ICE Security Alliance for Fugitive Enforcement taskforce based in El Salvador.
The public is encouraged to report crimes or suspicious activities by calling 866-347-2423 or completing an online tip form.
