The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) has introduced a new initiative called the Texas Family Success Agenda, aiming to bolster family formation, enduring marriages, and effective child development in the state. The agenda is guided by several core principles.

The foundation emphasizes the need for Texas to restore the family as society's fundamental unit. It highlights forming lasting marriages and raising children as beneficial goals for both individuals and society. Additionally, it aims to promote pathways that support robust family connections and make Texas an ideal state for married parents to raise their children.

To achieve these objectives, TPPF's agenda includes specific measures. Among them is a requirement for K-12 public school students to learn about the "Success Sequence." The plan also seeks to reduce obstacles delaying marriage and family formation by evaluating current state-funded marriage programs, offering education on financial literacy and healthy parenting, and providing property tax relief for families.

Furthermore, TPPF proposes establishing a commission to address major issues impacting men's and boys' health and prosperity. State agencies would be required to assess how family ties influence social outcomes for program beneficiaries. Additionally, fathers would be mandated to begin paying child support from conception.

“Strong families build strong societies,” stated Greg Sindelar, CEO of TPPF. “The Texas Family Success Agenda will ensure that our Lone Star State fulfills its promise to protect ‘life, liberty, and happiness’ and secure a prosperous foundation for the next generation.”
