Every Texan has announced the upcoming departure of its CEO, Marisa Bono. She will be transitioning to a new position at the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS) on March 2, 2025. In her new role, she will continue advocating for children, youth, and families in Texas.

During her five-year tenure at Every Texan, Bono has led significant transformations within the organization. "In the last five years, with Marisa’s guidance, Every Texan has transformed to better center the voices of the communities most impacted by our work," stated Every Texan. Initiatives under her leadership include the People's Budget, a union contract, and a strategic plan focused on change.

The team at Every Texan expressed their commitment to continuing their mission following Bono's departure. "As we move through this transition, our existing team and new team members are excited to continue working in chorus to boldly mobilize the Every Texan mission," they noted.
