The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the arrest of two individuals from Texas' 10 Most Wanted list. Jrdon Mykel Joe, a fugitive, was apprehended on January 28 in Houston, while Marcos Christopher Alonzo, a sex offender, was arrested on January 18 in Dallas. Both arrests were facilitated by tips provided to authorities, and Crime Stoppers rewards will be distributed.

Jrdon Mykel Joe, aged 23, was wanted for murder in Harris County since August 2024. He allegedly shot a man in a parking lot off IH-45 on July 12, 2024. His criminal history includes previous arrests for drug and violent offenses. The arrest operation involved multiple agencies including DPS Criminal Investigation Division Special Agents at the Texas Anti-Gang Center in Houston and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force.

Marcos Christopher Alonzo, aged 47, had been wanted since February 2023 for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements after being convicted of indecency with a child by contact in 2005. He received a five-year prison sentence at that time and later served three years for failure to register as a sex offender in 2011. His arrest was executed by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force with assistance from the Hutchins Police Department.

Texas Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division for information leading to arrests of those on Texas’ Most Wanted lists. In early 2025 alone, six fugitives have been captured with $10,000 awarded for tip-based arrests.

Anonymous tips can be submitted through specified methods to qualify for rewards without revealing identities.
