The TXTA Foundation has pledged $50,000 to the American Trucking Associations' "Nothing Without Trucking" campaign. This contribution will be spread over five years and aims to educate policymakers and the public about the essential role of trucking in everyday life.
The Foundation's commitment builds on its previous support for industry image campaigns, including a $100,000 pledge over ten years to the "Trucking Moves America Forward" initiative that began in 2014. John Craddock, Chair of the TXTA Foundation, said, "The 'Nothing Without Trucking' initiative resonates deeply with our mission to highlight the essential nature of our industry."
The campaign will focus on showcasing the trucking industry's dedication to safety, innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. It will highlight various roles within the industry that contribute to keeping America's economy moving.
Chris Spear, President and CEO of American Trucking Associations, emphasized the importance of this initiative: "Our industry has an essential story to tell – a story that is integral to the lives of everyone in this country." He noted that support from organizations like TXTA Foundation is crucial for spreading this message nationwide.
Established in 1978, the TXTA Foundation supports education and research projects related to Texas's trucking industry. It aims to enhance understanding and improve the image of trucking as a vital sector in Texas.
