TASA has announced the recipients of the 2025 Johnny L. Veselka Scholarship, an annual award recognizing outstanding doctoral students pursuing careers in educational leadership, with a focus on superintendency. This scholarship has been awarded by TASA since 2014.

The recipients were chosen from a pool of applicants by the TASA Johnny L. Veselka Scholarship Committee, which consists of Texas school superintendents and other public school district administrators.

Each recipient will receive a $2,500 scholarship and will be honored at the 2025 TASA Midwinter Conference scheduled for January 26-29 in Austin.

This scholarship honors Dr. Johnny L. Veselka's leadership, who served nearly 44 years with the association, including 32 years as TASA’s executive director. The program is supported by its 2024-25 sponsor, PBK.
