The Texas Oil & Gas Association (TXOGA) released its Month in Review for October on November 1, highlighting significant developments in the state's oil and natural gas sector.
According to TXOGA, there was an increase in employment within the industry in September, with 800 jobs added. This growth surpassed the figures recorded in August. TXOGA President Todd Staples commented on this development, saying it was "welcome news amidst global economic challenges, international conflicts, and domestic uncertainties."
The review also covered the South Texas Energy and Economic Roundtable’s (STEER) 2024 Eagle Ford Excellence Awards. An October 9 press release from TXOGA said that these awards recognize companies and organizations involved with the oil and natural gas industry for their efforts in environmental protection, technological innovation, prioritizing safety, and community engagement.
Additionally, TXOGA shared two episodes of its podcast series "TXOGA Talks." One episode examines electricity demand in the Permian Basin, while the other continues a discussion on fueling education within Texas.
