The Texas Restaurant Foundation (TRF) has received a $10,000 donation from Buchanan’s Whisky through the 200% Futuro Fund. This contribution is part of the Más Noches Buenas Holiday Campaign, supported by the Fairfield County Community Foundation. The fund aims to empower Hispanic voices and support communities while embracing Hispanic roots.
The donation will benefit two TRF initiatives: the Second Chances Program and the Pathways Program. The Second Chances Program focuses on reducing employment barriers for justice-involved individuals by providing job training and resources. The Pathways Program connects students and workers with education, skills training, and career advancement opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industries.
Heather Pickett, Executive Director of the Texas Restaurant Foundation, expressed gratitude for the donation. "The restaurant industry is a cornerstone of opportunity for individuals from all walks of life, and programs like Second Chances and Pathways are vital to building a stronger, more inclusive workforce," she said. "We are incredibly grateful to Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky for this generous donation."
Buchanan’s celebrates being both 100% Hispanic and 100% American through its 200% Futuro Fund. Linda Lagos-Morales, Brand Director at Buchanan’s Scotch Whisky, said, "We’re proud to give back to a community that has embraced us and to support the work of organizations like the Texas Restaurant Foundation."
