The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is currently hosting its 13th annual Hiring Red, White & You! event series, which will continue through November 22.

According to an October 29 press release from TWC, the purpose of this statewide event is to connect employers with veterans, transitioning military members, and military spouses.

TWC Chairman Bryan Daniel said in the release that "1.5 million veterans call Texas home," emphasizing their skills and experience as crucial contributions to the state's economic success. "TWC’s veterans’ programs, including Hiring Red, White & You!, provide Texas veterans with resources designed to enhance their success in the Texas workforce," Daniel said.

The release also noted that TWC and Texas Workforce Solutions are scheduled to host more than 30 events across Texas in partnership with the Office of the Texas Governor, the Texas Veterans Commission, and the Texas Medical Center. The event series has been held since 2012 and has connected more than 24,000 employers with 137,000 job seekers, including 47,000 veterans. At least 3,000 people were hired on the spot through Red, White & You! hiring events.
