The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties amounting to $389,767 against 19 entities for breaching state environmental regulations. The penalties were issued in various enforcement categories, including air quality, municipal solid waste, and water quality.
Specifically, agreed orders were given for four air quality violations, one multi-media violation, one municipal solid waste violation, four municipal wastewater discharge violations, four public water system violations, and three water quality violations. Additionally, default orders were issued for a petroleum storage tank violation and a water quality violation.
Furthermore, on October 1 and October 8, the executive director sanctioned penalties totaling $74,442 against 28 entities.
