The Texas Public Accountability Consortium (TPAC) is calling on superintendents to join their district-led network in an effort to transform Texas' A-F accountability system into a Community-Based Accountability System. The application deadline for the 2024-25 TPAC is May 24th.
According to the announcement, the upcoming TPAC events for 2024-25 are still being developed by the TPAC Design Team. These events will focus on the needs of school leaders while upholding the principles outlined in the TASA visioning document, "Creating a New Vision for Public Education in Texas." Districts that become part of TPAC will have the opportunity to attend two in-person events in fall 2024 and spring 2025.
Interested district leaders are encouraged to apply for TPAC by submitting an online application before May 24th. The application requires a description of how the district plans to engage with the Community-Based Accountability System.
A fee of $500 per participating district leader will be charged to cover event-related expenses. Each district may request up to five seats for members of their district CBAS team, with the flexibility to bring different team members to each event.
Current TPAC members are available for discussions about their experience, and more information about Community-Based Accountability Systems can be found on the TPAC webpage.
