Robert Henneke, Executive Director of the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF), an organization dedicated to promoting and maintaining conservative policies, has expressed his skepticism towards President Biden's intention to dismantle border barriers. Henneke criticized this move as 'malfeasance in addressing the border crisis.'
Henneke stated, "The federal government cannot destroy Texas property," emphasizing the sovereignty of the state. He further commented, "The State of Texas is doing the humane thing by working to secure the border." Henneke concluded his remarks by asserting, "The Biden administration's malfeasance in addressing the border crisis puts Americans in danger."
Henneke's background is diverse and rich with experience. As reported by TPPF, he has held various roles before assuming his current position as Executive Director. His previous positions include serving as Kerr County Attorney where he consistently upheld conservative values. A graduate of the University of Texas, Henneke also has experience practicing law.
Legal Newsline reports that efforts are underway to prevent the destruction of border barriers. Allegedly, the Biden administration had been dismantling wire barriers erected by Texans in response to a surge in illegal immigration; however, these actions are now being scrutinized. As quoted by Attorney General Ken Paxton, "I am very pleased the appellate court has forbidden federal agents sent by the Biden administration from destroying our concertina wire fences."
TPPF's mission is broad and far-reaching. According to its own statements, it aims to promote liberty, personal responsibility and free enterprise - its three core principles. The organization relies on support from individuals, corporations and foundations.
