Senator Cesar Blanco: 'happy to join in celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Borderplex Alliance'

On Oct. 20, Sen. César Blanco shared that he and his staff were proud to be celebrating the success that the Borderplex Alliance has made in increasing jobs and capital investments in their ten years of service. Blanco expressed his happiness in participating in the work of the Borderplex Alliance and sharing in their successes as they celebrate their 10th anniversary.

The Borderplex Alliance is an independent, non-partisan, and private sector-led organization dedicated to improving the economy of the Borderplex region, which encompasses the states of Texas and New Mexico. This region is home to approximately 2.5 million people and is known for having the "largest bilingual and binational workforce in the Western Hemisphere." The Borderplex Alliance's mission is to bring jobs, hope, and opportunity to this region.

Senator César Blanco represents District 29, which includes the El Paso region. He has a military background and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso. After working for three Congress members in El Paso, Blanco was first elected to the House in 2014. His main goals have been to strengthen the workforce, economy, and border communities, improve the quality of life, and increase economic opportunities. He has also made efforts to improve mental health resources for veterans and address gun violence following a mass shooting in El Paso. Blanco has been serving in the Senate since 2021 and continues to represent District 29 and the people within the Borderplex region.
