Wiley College Head Volleyball Coach, Nancy Sikobe, has been selected to participate in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference at the 2023 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Governance and Leadership Academy! Sikobe will be one of 50 participants.
The NAIA Governance and Leadership Academy was created last year to provide training on NAIA governance and strategic initiatives for minority and female athletics administrators. The leadership academy will also introduce participants to NAIA committee work and service while enhancing their leadership acumen.
“I am honored to be nominated to participate in the Governance Academy,” Sikobe said. “I look forward to learning about the NAIA and bringing the knowledge back to Wiley to share with my fellow coaches.”
Since returning to Wiley in 2021, Sikobe has served as the Senior Woman Administrator for the Athletic Program. Sikobe has won 216 games, with 140 as the Lady Wildcats’ head coach. During her time at Wiley College, Sikobe has led four conference championship match appearances and seven conference semifinal appearances. She coached 46 All-Conference players and six NAIA All-Americans. Sikobe’s players have also achieved in the classroom with 12 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete, 42 Red River Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes and five Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars.
