Texas named 2019 State of the Year

Texas is one of the fastest-growing business hubs in the nation as the Lone Star State offers one of the best business ecosystems in America, which has been confirmed by the prominent business journal Business Facilities.

In a recent article, Business Facilities has proclaimed Texas as the 2019 State of the Year. Texas was named State of the Year three previous years as well. Texas has become the first state to get the award four times. The magazine’s inaugural State of the Year award was created in 2007. Since then, Texas was also named the BF’s State of the Year winner in 2012 and 2016.

The Editor in Chief of BF, Jack Rogers, said that Texas has become the most prolific economic development success stories within the last decade.

“As we ring in 2020, it’s time to acknowledge that Texas has by far been the most prolific economic development success story of the decade just ended,” Rogers said. “With a rapidly expanding skilled workforce and leadership in a diversified set of growth sectors, Texas will be sitting tall in the saddle for years to come."
