His statement comes in the wake of an agreement that would see Mexico deliver water to Texas farmers, thereby honoring its commitments under the 1944 Water Treaty.

President Trump's intervention, according to Miller, was instrumental in prompting action from Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum. "I want to thank President Trump for his firm, no-nonsense leadership in addressing the water crisis affecting our southern border," Miller said. He noted that Mexico had not met its treaty obligations for an extended period, which has significantly impacted those reliant on this vital resource.
