Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick comments on passage of Senate Bill 29

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick released a statement regarding the recent bipartisan approval of Senate Bill 29, known as "Texas: Open for Business." The bill was authored by Sen. Bryan Hughes, R-Tyler.

"The Texas economy is leading America into the mid-21st century with our pro-growth, conservative policies, attracting businesses to our state," Patrick said. He emphasized the importance of companies choosing Texas over Delaware for incorporation and noted that updating corporate laws is essential for maintaining Texas's status as a key player in the U.S. economy.

Patrick further highlighted that SB 29 is a priority for both the Senate and himself, stating, "These important changes will cement our dominant position in the global economy."

The legislation aims to strengthen Texas's legal framework for businesses, ensuring predictability and stability.
