U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken Simeon Roosenov Moutafov, a Bulgarian national, into custody in Cincinnati on February 24. Moutafov faces deportation following his conviction for aggravated battery with a firearm and attempting to elude law enforcement in Madison County, Illinois.

"Moutafov is an aggravated felon with no legal status in United States and will be headed back to his home country," stated Robert Lynch, Director of the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Detroit Field Office. "I’m proud of our officers’ efforts to ensure safer communities by removing public safety and national security threats."

The public is encouraged to report immigration-related crimes or suspicious activities through the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or via the online tip form.
