Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller has expressed his support for USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins' new plan to address the avian influenza outbreak. Miller commended Rollins for prioritizing the crisis, a focus he claims was absent during the Biden Administration.

Miller criticized previous federal efforts, stating that "the Biden Administration allowed egg prices to skyrocket while doing little to curb the spread of the virus." He noted that over 166 million birds have been culled as a result of inadequate strategies.

Rollins' plan includes enhancing biosecurity measures, developing vaccines for evolving strains, and investing in research. According to Miller, "this is the type of leadership we need—bold, proactive, and focused on results."

Miller affirmed his willingness to collaborate with Rollins and her team to provide Texas farmers and ranchers with necessary resources. He emphasized the importance of protecting livestock and stabilizing food prices for American families.
