The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) has announced the availability of new and revised finding aids online, alongside fresh uploads to the Texas Digital Archive. This initiative aims to enhance access to significant historical resources documenting Texas's heritage and culture.
Finding aids are essential tools for researchers, providing written guides to archival records with descriptive information and a folder inventory. These aids assist in navigating the holdings prepared for research. Researchers can visit the State Archives during public service hours from Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Appointments are encouraged but not mandatory.
Online access to these finding aids is available at www.tsl.texas.gov/arc, with a comprehensive list of recent additions accessible via TSLAC’s online catalog at https://bit.ly/TSLACnewcollections. For further details about finding aids, archives reference staff can be contacted at 512-463-5455 or archinfo@tsl.texas.gov.
