David Dunmoyer from the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) commented on this development, stating, "Gov. Abbott’s declaration of the Texas Cyber Command as an emergency item demonstrates his bold leadership and commitment to enhance the security of Texas and push back on the cyber threats posed by China and other foreign adversaries." Dunmoyer emphasized that this initiative could position Texas as a leader in cyber defense, potentially serving as a model for other states.

The TPPF expressed its intention to collaborate with Representative Giovanni Capriglione and Senator Tan Parker to advance this cybersecurity agenda.
