On December 11, the Texas Business Leadership Council (TBLC) honored Bobby Jenkins, a prominent business and community leader from Austin, with the Richard W. Weekley Public Policy Leadership Award. This award was established in 2014 to commemorate TBLC's 20th anniversary and recognizes significant contributions by business leaders in shaping effective public policy for Texas.

Bobby Jenkins is the President of ABC Home & Commercial Services, a family-owned company based in Texas since 1949. The company operates in multiple locations across Texas, including Austin and San Antonio, employing over 1,000 people. ABC provides various services such as pest control, lawn care, air conditioning repair, plumbing, electrical work, and more.

Jenkins holds several leadership roles. He chairs the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority and serves on boards like the Association of Former Students at Texas A&M University and the Professional Pest Management Alliance. He is also involved with organizations such as Recognize Good and Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse.

Expressing gratitude for the award, Jenkins said: "I’m honored by this recognition, and appreciate that this Award stems from the simple idea of giving back. I believe that if you see a problem or a need, and can help, that it’s important that you try your best to do so."

Justin Yancy, President of TBLC, praised Jenkins' dedication: "Bobby Jenkins is an iconic leader who cares deeply about Austin and the State of Texas. Providing leadership on multiple issues and causes, he works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all Texans."

The TBLC comprises CEOs and senior executives committed to fostering a prosperous future for Texas within a competitive global market.
