State Rep. John Bryant: ‘I don’t like being in the minority, I’ve been in the majority before, and I’m pushing to get us back in the majority’

“So 62 of 64 Democrats have safe seats, there is no reason not to be out front and fighting hard and making plain to the public that we’re on their side on these big issues,” said Bryant on a recent edition of the Y’all-itics Podcast. “Remember, a vast majority of the 64 Democrats have never known what it’s like to be in the majority after 20 years, there’s only a handful of us that know what it’s like to be in the majority.”

“I think a lot of our guys have lost their muscle memory of what it really means to be in control and be governing the state,” Bryant said. “ don’t like being in the minority, I’ve been in the majority before and I’m pushing to get us back in the majority.”

John Bryant is a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 114. He serves on the Appropriations Committee and the Pensions, Investments and Financial Services Committee. He represented Texas’s 5th congressional district in the 98th to the 104th US Congress.
