Texas State Representative Keith Bell recently released a summary of his policy achievements from the 88th Legislature. The key accomplishments include substantial investments in border security and the protection of women's sports.

In a letter issued by Bell's office, it was stated that the 88th Texas Legislature Session yielded "critical conservative victories." Bell was instrumental in introducing and passing House Bills 679, 2518, and 3485, which were primarily aimed at safeguarding the rights of construction contractors and vendors. Additionally, he referenced Senate Bill (SB) 821, a companion House version filed by him, designed to protect citizens' data privacy.

Addressing border security issues, Bell stated, "This legislative session marked a historic commitment to border security in Texas, allocating a record $5.1 billion to safeguard the TX-Mexico border in alignment with Senate Bill 1." He also noted the establishment of Rural Law Enforcement Grant Programs through SB 22 and his co-authorship of House Bill 6 which amplified penalties associated with fentanyl offenses.

Bell highlighted Senate Bill 1900 in his letter, which classifies Mexican cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. This bill was signed into law by Texas Governor Greg Abbott according to Texas Legislature Online.

Bell also spoke about the successful implementation of the Save Women's Sports Act or Senate Bill 15. He said this law "ensures equality and the continued opportunity for Texas women to participate in college-level athletic programs." According to Bell, this legislation will uphold Title IX within Texas collegiate sports.

Representative Bell serves District 4, encompassing Kaufman and Eastern Henderson counties in the Texas House of Representatives as per his Texas House biography. Prior to his election in 2018, he served as a trustee on the Forney ISD School Board.
